After a much needed rest, my family and I decided to venture to the Great Wolf Lodge in WI Dells. I have to say, my past experiences there were much better than this year. The price was comparible to other hotels, the inside waterpark was definately thumbs up with the new indoor wave pool and additional slides. The room though, was fair. Being put in a corner room on the first floor, closest to the pool had it's weaknesses. Patio was small and blocked by the... Read More
Well, it’s no secret that we have been spending a lot exploring “things to do” in communities near – or not so near my hometown of Waukesha. The chance was worth it; I had a Veggie sub, filled with a lot of veggies and two kinds of cheese lightly toasted. My daughter had the Italian sub, ham, salami... Read More

But the overall design of main corridor, the tall stone columns, the ceiling beams with the accent lighting are nothing short of remarkable. I’m not sure what the final look will be for the food cour... Read More
As you may have noticed, I have been spending my weekends traveling around Southeastern Wisconsin exploring our communities looking for the "gems" and sharing that information with all of you. Rising fuel, flooding and food costs have started to really affect our community small business owners. We need to do what we can to support our local communities and keep these wonderful operations alive and well during these hard times. I have decided to feature small businesses in my blogs as a way of s... Read More
