I was looking for a little get away and relized that what I need was a little pampering. So I made an appointment to have my hair cut. Didn't want to go to the usual Cost Cutters because I needed something more relaxing. Now a days I have to fit as many things in at the same time. So rest and relaxation it was. As I walked into the spa I was warmly greeted and offered a cup of herbal tea. Not just any tea, (Aveda comforting tea) this tea made me feel as though I was breathing out a years worth of stress. Maybe it was the taste, maybe the aroma of the tea. But either way, it did the job.Then I was seated with a beautician. She started out by giving me a wonderful head and shoulder massage. Not talking to much, but asking in a soft voice what I wanted done with my hair. After a ten minute massage she went on to wash my hair. What great product, yet another scent to relax the spirit and mind. My hair cut was as refreshing and stylish as the whole experience. As I was leaving the salon, I walked out and felt like a million dollars! This whole process only took an hour. What an hour get-away that was.
Sometimes we have to do the small things to get the biggest rewards. Who would have thought that going for a haircut would be such an awesome experience. Thanks Neroli!
